This position will report to the Vice President, CIO DomainLeader and provide technical expertise, proactive leadership, and guidance onall matters associated with the applications/platforms within the area ofinfluence and is the primary person to advise on the advancement of the digitalstrategy. This position is also the chief liaison to DB&T leadership tocoordinate work with the rest of the company andbusiness/functional units.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Guideand support digital initiatives to enhance domain performance, efficiency,profitability, and safety
Leadand manage application support and development teams, including hiring,training, and performance evaluations. Review, approve, and allocate workassignments to staff.
Developand implement strategies to improve the performance and efficiency of theirteam.
Leadprocess improvement initiatives, such as participating in user group meetingsto identify areas for improvement
Overseethe day-to-day operations of their team, ensuring that issues are resolved in atimely manner.
Challenge,assist, and advise on the technical & application solutions to beimplemented
Pilotand manage technical crises, report alerts, and arbitration needs to theauthorities adapted
Performa permanent technological watch allowing him to be the technical referent onhis perimeter. Work closely with the CTO for guidance on new technologies andsolutions.
Providelevel 3 support for its scope
Ensurethe coordination and compliance with the security standards and architecture ofthe IS on its perimeter
Ensurethe compliance of developments with security standards
Managethe various audits (technical, security, and publishers) that may occur withinits scope
Ensurethe application mapping respects the standards set forth by the ChiefTechnology Office
Definethe technical base of its perimeter to meet the requirements of the digitaltransformation plans
Controlthe environment and promotes continuous integration within its scope
Managethe technical debt of its scope
Designand validate the technical architecture of its scope
Setup procedures and tools allowing continuous integration (Jenkins, JIRA,Gitlab...)
Contributeto the improvement of practices and methods implemented
Organizeand supervise the production launches of its scope
Verifyand ensure the quality and performance of the operation of the developmentswithin its scope
Blueprintfunctional and technical change documentation and work as the liaison betweenthe business and outsourced service providers to deliver the services andchanges to the applications as necessary
Providesenior leadership with regular project status & reporting
Createand present business cases, plus identify business needs in a timely andefficient manner
Collaboratewith Project Managers and Solution Delivery teams to identify appropriateinternal and external resources necessary to accomplish project deliverables ontime and on budget
Managestakeholder expectations through clear, concise, and professional presentationsand communications
Leadefficient team operations that promote modernization and upgrades of DB&Tand BU/Domain systems
Conductperformance evaluations and career planning with DB&T staff that are timelyand constructive
Mentorstaff members to ensure their goals align with BU/Domain goals and the staffmembers’ personal development goals
UnderstandAGILE project management methodologies
Education/experience/background:
Undergraduatedegree in Information Systems or related field, Graduate degree a plus
Minimumof 10 years of information technology
Extensiveexperience in partnering with operations as well as leading and managing thedepartment
Experienceworking with outside firms to augment staff when required
Priorindustry knowledge beneficial
