What You'll Do:
???? Polish & Perfect: Copy edit a wide range of legal news, analysis, and opinion pieces, ensuring content meets the highest editorial standards.
???? Enhance Storytelling: Collaborate with reporters and editors to strengthen narratives and maintain editorial consistency aligned with Law360’s style guide.
????? Multimedia Integration: Process photos, add links, and manage citations in our content management system.
???? Newsflash! Source and write up to two daily briefs based on industry announcements and judicial appointments.
???? Guide Excellence: Update and train the team on the Law360 Style Guide and editorial best practices.
????? Adapt & Assist: Take on additional publishing and editing duties as required to support our mission of delivering timely, high-quality content.
What You Bring:
? Editorial Mastery: Strong copy-editing skills with a deep knowledge of Canadian Press style.
???? Newsroom Savvy: Proven experience in deadline-driven editorial environments.
? Attention to Detail: High standards for accuracy, grammar, and clarity under tight deadlines.
???? Tech Skills: Familiarity with content management systems is a plus.
???? Effective Communicator: Strong collaboration skills to work closely with reporters and editors.
???? Legal or Business Insight (Preferred): Experience in legal, regulatory, or business topics is a valuable asset.
