Your Mission:
As the Director of eMichigan, you'll oversee three transformative divisions:
- Geospatial, Web & Data Services
- Content Management Services
- Digital Transformation & Emerging Technologies
You'll define the strategic direction for Michigan’s digital footprint, utilizing emerging technologies to revolutionize how residents and businesses connect with government services. With a focus on innovation, efficiency, and security, you will guide a talented team of over 100 professionals, managing a $29M+ budget to create impactful digital experiences for the state's 55,000-employee workforce and its citizens.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Set and execute the vision for Michigan’s digital transformation, driving resident-centric innovation through web, mobile, and geospatial technologies.
- Emerging Technologies: Lead research and adoption of AI, data transformation, and enterprise solutions for state-wide IT services.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee secure portals, intranet systems, digital fax services, and advanced dashboard development.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, develop, and manage a high-performing team of state employees and contractors.
- Budget Oversight: Manage and optimize the organization’s $29M+ annual budget, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Experience: At least two years of professional managerial experience, preferably in IT, digital services, or government leadership roles.
- Visionary Mindset: Ability to anticipate trends and leverage emerging technologies to improve digital services.
