- (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance and special program access is required pre-start
- BachelorĂ¢'s degree in engineering or technical related discipline; ten (10) or more years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable
- Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 6 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required
- Ability to obtain a CI and/or Full Scope Polygraph
- DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification
- Experience working with government customers and government programs
- Previous cyber security or technical leadership experience
- 9 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years\' related work experience, Master+7 years\' related work experience)Responsibilities
- The successful candidates will be responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify life-cycle balanced information system security solutions
- Implements appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities per JSIG, DoD and ICD 503 RMF, NISPOM, or DoD Overprint to the NISPOM as required by customers
- Coordinates with the government customers, program management, system administrators, network and software engineers, and test and validation engineers on security related activities, requirements, and deliverables
- Develops and maintains information system security documentation for program Assessment and Authorization activities
- Identifies assets and assesses risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of the product assets in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, non-repudiation and contract compliance
- Evaluates remediation recommendations and develops a mitigation plan including cost estimates
- Employs system security processes, methods, and tools and assures their consistent application
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system security requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
- Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
- Performs analyses for vulnerability, certification, system security, affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, susceptibility, regulatory, product assurance and other specialties quality factor into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
- Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of security requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
- Resolves cross-functional technical issues
- Local travel (25%) will be required for meetings with customers, internal meetings, etc
- Works under minimal direction
