Job Description:
As a Sr. NPI Manufacturing Engineer for mmWave
modules based in Morgan Hill, CA you will have responsibility for releasing
mmwave modules to production.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Work
with process engineers to develop new assembly processes to achieve better
reliability and better performance.
- Work
with a team that includes RF Engineers, Test Engineers and Production
Engineers on the next microwave instruments.
- As a
liaison of the project team, facilitate activities between the
module/component manufacturing area and the instrumentation manufacturing
team.
- Coordinate
with production and contract vendors on design for manufacturing reviews
to ensure best practices are being used on our designs.
- Train
assemblers on best practices for high frequency (>100GHz) tuning
techniques.
- This
position will be reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager based
in Morgan Hill.
Requirements:
- BSEE
with an RF/Microwave emphasis
- MSEE
preferred.
- 5-10
years of component/module manufacturing experience in a chip and wire
environment
- Strong
understanding of mmwave module design
- Expert
in VNA and S-parameter measurements
- Strong
working knowledge of mmwave test equipment: Spectrum Analyzers, power
meters, etc
- Expertise
in wire-bonding and die attach including auto-bonding
- High
frequency (>100GHz) transmission line simulation
- High
frequency (>100GHz) matching circuit design and simulation
- Understanding
of packaging material selection
- Understanding
of coax to micro circuit launches
