Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Claims Center Application Architect to join our team. As a talented professional in Guidewire ClaimCenter & related products, you will lead complex Guidewire implementations from design to go-live, providing ongoing support and driving best practices. This role requires excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the latest Guidewire offerings, products, innovations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Customer Architects, Lead Engineers, Solution Architects, and Technical Leads to identify and implement solutions that address business challenges and align with the targeted architecture.
  • Develop reusable architectural patterns and solutions, guiding the development of future solutions.
  • Design and document complex features and assist development teams with implementation.
  • Provide guidance to tech leads and teams during implementation, resolving execution challenges.
  • Establish best practices for Guidewire SAAS, product standards, and quality assurance norms.
  • Ensure adherence to Guidewire standards and best practices in code reviews and provide guidance to developers.
  • Produce detailed technical specifications and design documentation for Guidewire ClaimCenter, Digital, and Edge services-based projects.
  • Track progress to ensure efficient, high-quality code meets specifications.
  • Develop Guidewire accelerators and white papers to contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Guidewire products and Insurance domain expertise.
  • Guidewire Ace certification in Configuration and Integration.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Guidewire Architect, including expertise in architecting solutions and extending Guidewire out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionalities.
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire ClaimsCenter configuration, integration, and testing frameworks.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Object-Oriented Programming (e.g., Java) and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance, with the ability to analyze and address business needs.
  • Experience with Guidewire SAAS implementations.
  • Familiarity with application servers such as Apache, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, or Tomcat.
  • Experience with tools like XML, GUnit, Jenkins, GIT/Subversion/TFS, Code Coverage, and Code Scan Plugins/Tools.

Desirable Skills (Good to Have):

  • Expertise in designing solutions using Guidewire products such as Jutro, cloud APIs, and integration frameworks.
  • Proficiency in writing GUnit test cases and integrating them into build/pipeline processes.
  • Background in consulting or customer-facing roles within professional services.
  • Ability to handle leadership tasks such as Solution Design, estimating, and delivering technical training/education.
  • Willingness to become certified in additional Guidewire Insurance Suite products.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or DB2 databases.
  • Strong ability to engage with various stakeholders (Configuration, Integration, Middleware, and Legacy teams) to resolve issues.
