Job Description:
- Please note this is a Hybrid opportunity. The position requires three days of work on site in Chantilly, VA The other two days will account for work from home.
- Lead a team of developers and engineers to delivery high quality software solutions.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to optimize team performance.
- Mentor team members to enhance their technical and professional skills.
- Oversee the maintenance of IT systems in healthcare diagnostics domain.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Oversee the development, unit testing, system integration testing processes.
- Work with leadership to prioritize projects and align with organizational goals.
- Partner with business users, system architects and other stake holders to deliver solutions that meet evolving needs.
- May require 25/30% design, coding, unit testing, and code review as needed.
- Resolution of technical issues in conjunction with team members
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instills the principles of this culture in a team of resources
- Responsible for interviewing potential candidates, hiring, training, oversight of daily activities and performance appraisals of his/her employeesEducation:
Preferred Work Experience- Proficiency in software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and agile methodologies
- Strong expertise with system design, software development.
- Excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
- Able to showcase previous digital product improvements that you owned
- Demonstrate how you hâ??ve leveraged Customer Experience processes to act as an advocate for customers
- Experience in healthcare or laboratory systems is highly desirable
Knowledge
- Business/Digital Analysis
- Healthcare or clinical lab industry knowledge beneficial
Skills
- Experience with laboratory information systems or similar healthcare IT platforms is preferred.
- Java, J2EE, Angular, Rest APIs, HL7s.
- Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
