The SQL BI Developer will be responsible for design and development Business Intelligence reports using Business Objects, Data Services. Working knowledge on SAP HANA platform is preferred. Responsible for gathering requirements and developing reporting solutions using the SAP Business Object suite of tools. The Senior BI Developer will work as the ETL developer to perform data mappings and help design complex ETL programs. PRIMARY DUTIES: Design and develop complex reports using SAP Business Object tools like WEBI Follow System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), quality and project management best practices, comply with internal processes related to regulatory or compliance requirements, and adhere to Change Control and Problem Management procedures. Function as a resource for the development teams for analyzing data and work with the ETL development team for the ETL design and development using SAP BODS & HANA. Assist less experienced Engineers with complex problems regarding BODS Development, application knowledge, and technical knowledge. Coach less experienced Associates and Business Users in the use of Business Objects tool set including Web Intelligence, Dashboards, and Universe Designer Actively participate in requirement development meetings to ensure solutions meet the needs of end users. Participate in functional and technical meetings, from the beginning of the project through the entire life cycle. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Comply with coding standards and release management processes. Recommend improvements where needed. Maintain extensive knowledge and expertise in business intelligence disciplines/technologies. Develop and comply with SOPs for reporting best practices. Learns new areas quickly and takes ownership of issues/projects and follows through to resolution. Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change. REQUIREMENTS: B.S. degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years of Data warehousing experience. Minimum 3 years of SAP Business Objects Data Services Minimum 5 years Business Objects Reporting and Data Visualization experience using Web Intelligence and Dashboards Experience with Business Objects Universe Designer Trained and experienced on SAP HANA platform a plus Experience with SAP Rapid Marts a plus Experience with SAP ERP as a source system a plus Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC and QA/Testing methodologies and deliverables. Ability to prioritize requirements as High / Medium etc based on business process understanding Ability to work both as an individual contributor and a lead. Needs to be resourceful and apply creative problem-solving with an ability to think outside of the norm to find bugs and issues Relational Database Experience (MS SQL Server etc) Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project). Strong SQL skills Experience working in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
