Responsibilities: Work as part of the team to check the data entry on transactions as they are executed. This quality control role is integral to the transaction workflow at client. It is essential that the candidate has the aptitude to perform at the following levels: Check raw data that is entered with a high degree of accuracy using our in-house Windows and Web based applications With some initial instruction from experienced team members, be able to verify calculation amounts and build schedules of payments for derivatives using Microsoft Excel or our in-house applications After several months, develop an understanding of these instruments such that the candidate could, for example, determine when a trade is the wrong way around (buyer and seller reversed) or other similar errors. The potential for candidates to develop the ability to detect issues of this type is critical. Interact with the client team members at client to verify / clarify data as needed Check daily control reports to monitor unusual movements in transaction valuations Check daily control reports on market data feed movements Work with our Pricing and Analytics teams to resolve any issues that arise Check and send out monthly valuation reports to our clients Verification of calculations (as part of determining issues with reports) Continuous problem solving; it is essential that candidates have the curiosity to ask questions and the initiative to attempt to figure out whats wrong with a situation As experience is gained, team members play an active role in liaison between the business and technical teams at Chatham. Senior team members also assist in the training of new employees on the client relationship teams. We are looking for well-rounded individuals, with an ability to learn quickly. Candidates should be self-starters who enjoy working on highly detail-oriented tasks. High levels of curiosity and good logical thinking skills are essential. A Bachelors degree or higher is strongly preferred, although we retain an open mind as to the major. Good verbal communication skills are required, as individuals in this role must interact with other team members in various departments. Problem solving skills and attention to detail are a must.
