EDI Mapper Location: Southfield, MI
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Technical Analysis of Data Requirements
Utilize trading partner guidelines and application file definitions to analyze and create technical
mapping specification documentation.
Communicate effectively with customers to understand application data requirements.
2. Creation of maps in GXS Application Integrator (AI) software
Programming and development of new EDI/B2B trading partner implementations, as well as
the on-going day-to-day maintenance of production EDI/B2B systems, utilizing these standards
(ANSI X12, EDIFACT, Odette, XML) and documents (810, 820, 830, 850, 855, 860, 861, 862).
Create test data and testing scenarios to fully exercise mapping logic.
3. Level 3 technical support
Support EDI department with changes needed in trading partner setups.
Troubleshoot data translation errors by analyzing data and debugging maps.
Provide detailed analysis to ANX Support staff for communication to customer.
Communicate directly with customer when necessary in a clear, effective, and timely fashion.
Understand and help develop EDI best practices.
