Essential Job Functions
EDUCATION:
- The Senior SQA Engineers Specific tasks include: Perform System Testing, Regression Testing, Functional Testing Defect Tracking / Reporting
- Participate in Product Design / Feature Meetings
- Test Environments: Identify / Setup / Configure / Maintain
- Preparing and implementing software test plans, designs, objectives and cases.
- Lead qualification of complex features for Doble family of products
- Automate tests and oversee product automation for features under test
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, or potential problems.
- Perform testing on different operating systems like Linux, and Windows
- Investigate field problems referred by field engineers and technical support.
- Mentor Juniors in the team in testing and product knowledge.
- Function with minimal supervision
- less than 5%Decision-making Latitude Responsible for working with development and project managers to assist in technical decision making
- Ensure cross product implementation consistency.
- Work with other product teams on solutions.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 7+ years of experience in SQA, SDT or product qualification
- Expert in writing test cases and test plans
- Experience with UI testing using QTP or similar tools
- Experience in Automation
- Expertise in one or more scripting languages such as TCL, Python and Perl.
- Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communications.
- Ability to assess new technologies and testing of those implementations Project skills, including planning, estimation of effort
- Proven track record of proactively working with the QA team and development team
- Strong passion for assuring product quality.
- A desire to improve SQA process.
