Role:Business Systems Analyst
Location:Mundelein, IL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This role is a primary subject matter expert for the Dayforce HCM suite of tools and provides in-depth analysis and recommends solutions to business problems related to supported services and HCM applications within Ceridian\'s Managed Services offering.
  • Utilize project management, technical and analytical skills to provide support ensuring the highest quality of service delivery to users Triage inquiries and issues and categorize the solution path
  • Engage cross-functional resources both internally and externally with Ceridian organizations to solve problems, address bug fixes, recommend systems enhancements or implement system changes
  • Perform data extraction for users for reporting
  • Responsible for creating and updating documentation to include: revising project documentation, updating configuration workbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Responsible for managing assigned escalations, researching, or providing root cause analysis
  • Responsible for completing systems configuration changes and testing to ensure the application changes work as designed to meet user needs
  • Responsible for assisting on reporting: develop queries, organize and extract data using SQL and MS Access
  • Audit and manage import/export files working to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Understand and explain systems features and benefits as it relates to user needs
  • Collaborate with technical teams to include various support resources on, issue resolution, project scoping and collaborating through to resolution Process Improvements participate as a SME in application improvement projects; lead and support internal organizational change initiatives; recommend product enhancements that will benefit users Seek out and embrace feedback, take on assignments that challenge and improve skills Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and guidelines Other Duties may be assigned or required for this position
REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, both orally and writtenStrong experience defining and documenting requirements, test cases and business process

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work Understanding of HR, Payroll, and IT systems
PREFERABLE SKILLS:
  • Knowledge with Ceridian, Ceridian Day Force, Kronos, or other HR and time systems Knowledge on ERP Systems (JDE)Working in a Manufacturing environment
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or the equivalent in related work experience in Information Technology, HR, Business, or other related discipline
  • Possess a strong understanding of HR and Payroll terminology and procedures
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
