Plan, organize, and control all activities of the weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, including:Import and balance time and attendance data from Kronos timekeeper system
Data entry of new hires, rehires, terminations, and all applicable information for timely and accurate payments to associates
Print reports and audit data entries to confirm precise totalsData entry of compensation, deductions, benefits, and taxes
Print and distribute pay checks and advicesProcess status change forms; termination, position, department, location, rate, union, etc.
Process banking and taxes into the PNC Pinacle website as necessaryManage banking for returned deposits, stop payments, and positive pay issues
Provide backup for processing payrolls when members of the team are unavailable
Remit 401(k) file to 401K providerMaintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws, rules, and regulations
Protect and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of any and all dataProvide superior customer service with a positive attitude, honesty and respect
Qualifications / Requirements:
A successful candidate should have the following:Requires proficient data entry skills with a high level of accuracy with self-auditing abilitiesProficient skill with Microsoft Office Applications Excel, Outlook, Word, Etc.
Ability to make critical and logical decisions and understand the impact of those decisions before executing them
Prefer 2-3 years of experience in payroll, accounts payable or related field
Prefer knowledge of payroll administration, including all laws, rules, and regulations
Prefer experience with Kronos HRMS or other major payroll service providers (ADP, Ceridian, etc.)
