Job Description:
Job Duties
- Lead set up of enterprise level Tableau Server organization, including project design; roles & permissions; scalability; data access; performance monitoring; subscriptions and alerts; and other aspects as needed
- Set up, extend and maintain self-serve environment
- Determine best strategy for new Data Source and provide/create data Extract Layer to reusable in Tableau.
- Work closely with Engineering regarding Change
- Management of underlying dataManage extracts and refresh schedules
- Design, develop/migrate, and test BI elements, including procedures, legacy functions, and reports/dashboards
- Provide administration and technical support for the Tableau Enterprise wide implementation
- Responsible to ensuring that daily operations support and maintenance is performed related to Tableau infrastructure including:
- System Maintenance, Security Administration, License Management, Troubleshooting Tableau workbooks and
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering and business experts
- Support Tableau users, including on-site training sessions & preparation of training material
- Design, develop, test and deploy reports and dashboards
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years or related experience with 3+ years of related Tableau experience, incl. Tableau server implementation and administration,
- 3+ years of BI/Analytic solutions development and
- 2+ years of BI/Analytic architecture experience and 1+ year of Technical leadership experience
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL, as well as NoSQL solutions
- Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
- Familiarity with scripting language such as Python, Perl, shell, SAS
- Experience on Tableau APIs including Data Extract APIs
- Extensive knowledge in various reporting objects like Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Transformations, filters, prompts,
- Calculated fields, Sets, Groups, Parameters etc., in Tableau
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrable verbal and written communications to maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel
