Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Finance-Facing Activities:

  • Development of Standard Costs to maintain and ensure integrity of costing system
  • Own all aspects of the budgeting process to ensure consistency in results and goal alignment
  • Support Business Analysts in product contribution development
  • Monthly reporting & analysis variances against standard
  • Maintain & Further Develop accounting policies and procedures around cycle counts, scrap transactions, production transaction and PO receipts
Operations-Facing Activities:

  • Provide direct financial support (including analytical and decision support) to Operations Business TeamsMaintain and further develop weekly KPIs
  • Further refine and develop COGS Variance Analyses & Inventory Reporting
  • Ensure consistency between KPIs & monthly financial results
  • Investigate variances and work proactively with the operations team to develop corrective actions
  • Support Standard Business Processes
  • DCO - Inventory phase-in / phase-out plans
  • New Product Development capital and cost estimates
  • Primary liaison between Operations, Finance, Product Management, Engineering and Quality
  • Sales and Operations Planning processAd hoc & Periodic Analyses
  • Support Make vs. Buy Decisions
  • Develop and maintain Total Cost of Ownership Reporting & On-going Analytics
  • Support and further refine development of Global Standard Costing System
  • Support Operations Efficiency Projects
  • Complies with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Follows all Company rules and regulations, including health and safety rules
  • Successfully interacts with employees at all levels
  • Regular, reliable performance of all job duties
  • Travel as may be required to meet business and customer expectations
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or as may be required from time to time
EDUCATION and CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field required
  • CMA, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum five years experience in a manufacturing cost accounting role, required
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP maintenance, development and processes, required
  • Background in manufacturing & development of standard costing systems, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Experience working in an environment with global objectives, preferred
LANGUAGE/REASONING SKILLS

  • Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to solve practical problems
