Duties And Responsibilities

  • Writes complex SQL queries and automates ETL and daily reporting processes
  • Delivers time-crucial data and information to drive organization-wide business decisions
  • Gathers, analyzes, and transforms raw data from disparate databases into warehoused and actionable information for use in visualizations, reports, and dashboards for multiple casino properties and online gaming
  • Designs and maintains games database integrity and schema for multiple gaming software databases
  • Researches, digs, and asks questions to become the subject-matter expert of the various gaming data sources and the canned reports generated from their software reporting systems
  • Becomes a point of contact for gaming department data needs
  • Reconciles data between various systems and build alerts to catch anomalies
  • Partners with data scientists and software engineers to program or integrate actionable information into proprietary software and BI dashboards
  • Develops gaming operation workflow solutions
  • Designs and maintains a self-service analytics platform for maximum data accuracy and uptime
  • Assists in the design and development of modern web applications and Tableau dashboards
  • Maintains clear communications between the games department and IT regarding strategic database initiatives.
Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
Required

  • AND three (3) years of experience building and maintaining data warehouses using SQL to automate ETL processes and reporting from software systems, building visual analytics and dashboards using software such as Excel, Tableau, or equivalent - required
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)- required
  • Experience writing code or scripts with a programming language like C, Python, or equivalent- required
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, or equivalent database environments- required
  • Experience with meeting deadlines for analytic deliverables, with iteration, versus waiting for perfection- required
  • Demonstrated examples of excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation- required
  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts in understandable terms- required
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing continuous learning and professional development- required
  • Experience with casino online gaming analytics- preferred
  • Experience administering Tableau Server- preferred
  • Experience building dashboards in Tableau Desktop- preferred
  • Experience with mathematics programming language like R, Mathematica, or equivalent- preferred
  • Familiarity with Bally SDS, CMP, BOSS, EBS, (Servizio - STM, MEAL), and others- preferred
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a valid and current State Driver\'s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
