We are looking for an experienced

Full Stack Developer

• To join our team in Boulder and work on an exciting meteorological data verification project.
• Weather data from a range of sources and applications needs to be verified for quality and accuracy before being presented in end user displays and data exports.
  

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Verification of meteorological observation and forecast data
  
• Verification of decision support system application output
  
• Development of data verification reports using listed technologies
  
• Close collaboration with internal support and business teams
  
• Active role in coordination and identification of development activities
  
• S/W Design: Design, deployment and maintenance of web-based verification tools and interfaces
  
• Database Design: Design, deployment and administration of database(s) to support verification techniques
  

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent STEM background
  
• 5 years experience with backend Java development
  
• 5 years experience with JavaScript UI development and Javascript libraries
  
• 5 years experience in developing and administering PostgreSQL-driven SaaS applications
  
• Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (CentOS preferred), the command line and the VI editor
  
• Proven record of deploying applications to public cloud environments
  
• Solid experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools e.g. Jenkins
  
• Experience with web service interface development (RESTful JSON, SOAP....)
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency in English
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working with very large databases (VLDB) i.e.big data services
  
• C++ knowledge
  
• Postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or related discipline
  
• Experience working with VM ware or other virtualization software
  

• Linux shell scripting (sh and/or bash)
  
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices
