Job Description:
- Manages entire quality process of investigation, corrective action and response to internal and external customer complaints.
- Ensures the quality system is effectively implemented and maintained, including all prerequisite programs (ie: HACCP, GMPs, Product Safety and Quality policy, Trace ability).
- Leads compliance with established facility policies and procedures and other regulations (ie: BRC standard, HACCP).
- Writes and maintains the documentation of the quality system processes and procedures.
- Ensures customer complaints are investigated promptly and thoroughly and appropriate corrective action responses are written and implemented.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine degree of conformance. Evaluates sampling plans for adequacy.
- Knowledge and participation with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Adheres to all company policies
- Acts as back-up for other department managers as necessary
- Occasional travel as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge in the following areas required: Quality systems, Statistical process control methods, Geometric dimensioning and tolerances, Blueprint interpretation (component parts and completed assemblies)
- Bachelor??s degree in Quality Management or equivalent; or three to five years experience in printing , TQM, quality assurance or quality improvement with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of ISO/BRC/HACCP quality standards
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt preferred, with lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis experience
- Knowledge of Business Operating Systems; Internet software, and proficient in Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color acuity and the ability to adjust focus.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, variable temperatures and fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to loud.
