Job Description:

Duties And Responsibilities

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with business owners to clearly define business needs and create a better understanding of the projects business value. Support the delivery of data and reports through coordination of efforts of a cross-functional team of business and development teammates, and recommend innovative solutions to meet business user needs.
  • Fully understand the project and work with the BI developers to ensure the correct architecture is utilized for the project as well as the entire BI environment.
  • Facilitate and coordinate project prioritization with input and direction from risk management leaders to help ensure appropriate balance is brought to BI development efforts to meet organization strategic goals and objectives.
  • Work with different business units and IT community to identify constraints/limitations and communicate the needs to different stakeholders and leaders to drive the project to success as planned.
  • Administer epics outlined in the overall BI plan and ensure timelines are met.
  • Monitor, consult, and support the deliver ables and standards throughout the project to ensure business needs are met in the time frame allotted.
  • Assist in identifying business information needs for an enterprise data warehouse and related reporting structures and interfaces.
  • Partner with customer teams, BI and Data Management teams to define analytical and reporting infrastructure, to support the strategic goals of the company.
  • Research and collaborate with other resources to support data integrity within the enterprise data warehouse and various system databases.
  • Recommend changes to data warehouse and other systems to enhance reporting capabilities and/or data integrity.
  • Develop use cases and documentation to initiate enhancements to the enterprise data warehouse and various system databases.
  • Assist in explaining the documentation and user stories, and in identifying system dependencies throughout the enhancement process to ensure requirements are met.
  • Consult with business teams to develop user documentation and training materials for business intelligence deliver ables, and coordinate user training sessions.
  • Work in a team environment to assist other department personnel in the successful accomplishment of department and divisional objectives.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor??s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or equivalent training and experience.
  • Five or more years of experience researching, analyzing and developing solutions for complex business systems (relevant company knowledge/experience may off-set some of the technical requirement).
  • Familiar with relational database concepts and SQL.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate team collaboration, and to perform duties under general direction.
  • Preferred experience includes using software tools to generate database queries, data files and reports, and two or more years working with Credit, Finance, or Risk Management.

Duties Require

  • Ability to relate user stories to technology implementation.
  • Thorough working knowledge of FCS America including business lines, business systems and customer base, or the ability to develop this working knowledge.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of analytics, data management, statistics, accounting, and computer applications.
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize data to recommend solutions and drive strategic business decisions.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Familiarity with agile project methodology.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in data querying tools, such as SQL, MS Access, Crystal Reports and Excel.
  • Knowledge of using SQL in testing; experience in developing test data.
  • Ability to perform data mapping between multiple databases, i.e. SQL and Sagent.
  • Knowledge of an ability to utilize Business Intelligence tools and best practices.
