UI/UX Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Is a growing technology company in the branded fashion apparel retail domain and we are looking for a UI/UX Architect who can influence the design, function and ultimately the customer experience for our client projects.
• The successful applicant will be delivering designs and prototypes for web sites, ecommerce, mobility and data visualization for client projects.
• The application must be able to use a wide variety of technologies to create best in class user experiences for the project that incorporate contemporary design principles.
  
• Operates as a startup so the need for a critical thinker who has strong attention to detail and the ability to be proactive is critical.
• The UI/US architect will create, develop and implement user interface web applications.
• They will work with developers and stakeholders to ensure proper development is executed and visual design is achieved.
  

Responsibilities:

• Compares and contrasts designing responsively for a broad array of form factors and devices versus designing within proprietary technologies or native applications for specific platforms
  
• Consults on user mental models and business impact of user experience design
  
• Consults with others on optimizing mental, visual and manual work load
  
• Demonstrates knowledge of tools and techniques for user-centric design
  
• Develops and coaches others on tools, techniques, trends, and approaches
  
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects; may have multiple platforms
  
• Has tactical responsibility for completion and implementation of multiple major initiatives
  
• Executes vision, goals and direction of team/organization
  
• Recommends components to support the design direction and suggests alternate options
  
• Develops a technology architecture for presentation layer
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in interactive design, HCI, graphics design, digital media design, or a related field.
  

Experience:

• 4-7 yrs leading UX practices and teams
  
• Extensive experience in web design and development (CSS/3, Grunt, HTML/5, HTML 5, iOS, JavaScript, etc), and specific experience with responsive web design as well as app design
  
• Fluency with design and prototyping tools (Sketch, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, In Design, etc.), as well as familiarity with front-end stacks (Angular, Ember, React, Polymer, Material Design, etc.)
  
• Strong understanding of Product Development, all user experience (UX) disciplines and Agile methodologies
  
• User experience vision, strategy, innovation, design and implementation
  
• Usability studies - scripts, tests, analysis and reports
  
• Business and technical analysis and solution design
  
• Excellent communication skills. Individual must be a proactive problem solver and able to handle multiple complex projects and tasks
  
• Excellent organizational skills
