- The Enterprise Services Catalog team is looking for a professional to perform the duties of a business analyst.
- In this role, you will be responsible for rationalizing the taxonomy for what Enterprise Services sells.
- It will be your responsibility to review, understand and rationalized all the reference data used by the Microsoft Consulting Services and Premier Support.
- To do this you will develop an expert understanding of what needs to be tracked where, when and how.
- This will allow you to effectively manage the taxonomy that instruments the Enterprise Services business.
- With this information, you will rationalize and modify the data model for our taxonomies while enhancing it with attributes to efficiently manage the publishing and consumption of this data.
- You will function as the trusted advisor to our data stewards, business decision makers, BI organization and IT partners.
- You will need to explain and advocate your recommendations to a wide set of constituencies including: business process owners, engineering teams, and leaders.
- You must know what you donâ??t know, learn what you need to know, be convicted in your fact-based beliefs, while possessing a will to adapt and integrate new information into your recommendations as it becomes available.

- Ensure the taxonomy needs of two multi-billion dollar businesses are met as they converge on a common set of delivery resources and processes.
- Develop user scenarios, gather supporting requirements, and communicate them clearly across the team to ensure understanding.
- Groom and manage a system feature backlog to ensure hygiene and continuation of planning rhythms.
- Author system user readiness content and conduct user training.
- Author system release communications for distribution internally and contribute to release planning.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Process Engineering teams to maximize the decision-making value of enterprise information.
- Must have a degree (Computer Science, Social Science or Business), and/or equivalent experience; graduate work in information sciences and management preferred
- Exposure to data modeling
- At least 4 - 6 years related business and analyst; professional services experience and management (Big 4, Microsoft Partner, or other Management Consulting firms) strongly preferred
- Experience delivering complex, global, multi-year engagements in transforming environments
- Experience with data mastering projects
- Knowledge of data mastering principals
- Solid understanding of interoperability issues and the strengths and weaknesses of platforms and products, and able to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table
- Candidates must have a understanding of professional services organizations, markets, industries, business, customers, and technology.
- Work experience should involve a mix of business and technology consulting across the lifecycle of Information Technology .
- Experience working in virtual teams and collaborating across large, matrixed organizations
