Job Description:
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years payroll experience required construction experience a plus
- High degree of accuracy and discretion.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Familiar with general accounting principles and practices.
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team and be willing to go the extra mile at all times.
- Sage CRE 300, M Job Time, and Bamboo HR experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly payroll processing for a company of 120-165 employees
- Receive time cards, weekly, from remote field employees and from office employees.
- Follow up with employees expeditiously and professionally to resolve issues of lateness, accuracy, completeness, etc.
- Review timecards for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding.
- Ensure that labor is accurately entered, weekly, into job costing/accounting software (MJob Time) by pre-designated deadline.
- Processing of all payroll tax payments, garnishments, and union 401k
- Track employee contributions towards benefits premium, 401K deductions/payments/loans
- Union reporting and certified payroll
- Responsible for all payroll returns: ACA, 940, 941, DE9, W-2, W-3
- Reconcile payroll weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Handle correspondence for benefits audits, unemployment requests, and verification of employment
- Provide employee assistance with payroll self-service
- Manage employee files in HRIS (BambooHR)
- Providing support with client billings, lien releases, schedule of values and estimates
