Role:Director Of Information Technology
Location:Willowbrook, IL
Responsibilities
- Programming VB.Net, C++ or similar programming language
- Create/maintain Microsoft SQL server objects like tables, views, stored procedures and packages/ SSIS SQL 2005
- Create & Maintain Microsoft Reporting Services Reports
- Create & Maintain ASP.Net applications written in VB.net
- Proactively develop and maintain the IT infrastructure to be reliable, secure, scalable, recoverable and robust.
- This includes software installations and updates, networking, servers, and workstations.
- Troubleshoot and expedite the resolution of urgent issues including rapid core problem identification, creation of action plans, coordination of resources, execution of work, and resolution of secondary problems to prevent the interruption of our services.
- Perform system admin tasks such as backups, log file rotation, installing applications, adding and removing user accounts, configuring and troubleshooting email delivery issues and printer problems
- Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify needed improvements.
- Drive the project planning, implementation and follow-through of those improvements, coordinating with others as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment using ERP and familiar with common modules including job costing.
- Ability to re-write all data transfer programs that take care of transferring data between CMS and SQL Server.
- Experience with AS/400 environment (including CL and RPG programming)
- Familiarity with Visual Studio 2005
- Any combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to a bachelor??s degree or above in Information Systems, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Six or more years of successful IT experience directly managing a medium size company.
- Experience being the sole IT person is ideal.
Preferred but not required
- Experience with EDI systems
- Comfortable with regular network activities like security (users and rights maintenance)
- Familiar with SharePoint to eventually replace the home-made Intranet
