• Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, the Sr ETL Developer will play a role in data modeling for BI, reviewing existing data architecture and making improvements as needed
• Lead ETL activities and team members involved in that area, validate data integrity for BI, review underlying framework for data presentations and make improvements as needed, ensure compliance in data architecture and ETL governance and policies, strategize with manager on direction for BI data architecture and ETL.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Data modeling for Business Intelligence platforms
  
• Review existing data architecture and improve as necessary
  
• Lead all ETL activities in the BI area
  
• Validate the integrity of data across all BI platforms
  
• Review existing framework for data presentation layer and improve as necessary
  
• Create/contribute to policies on ETL development
  
• Create/contribute to policies on data architecture
  
• Manage governance around policies for ETL development and data architecture
  
• Work with Manager of Business Intelligence and contribute to overall strategy of BI related to ETL and data architecture
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Systems, relevant experience will also be considered
  
• 5 to 7 years of ETL experience
  
• Minimum ITIL Foundation v3.0 Certification, additional ITIL certifications considered an asset
  
• Proficient in SQL, SQL certified and experience with other database technologies
  
• Solid knowledge of Client-Server and Web-based applications
  
• Skill in promptly detecting, analyzing and resolving computer software issues
  
• Ability to assess client goals, needs and interests with respect to the implementation/appropriateness of information technology solutions by utilizing various requirements gathering methodologies
  
• Ability to provide useful advice or to facilitate discussion with client departments regarding future needs or changes
  
• Ability to assume a leadership role, as needed, as a member and/or leader of project team
  
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  
• Must demonstrate active listening and strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  
• Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills
