Role :- SQL / Mendix Application Developer

• This position is for an Application Developer who will be working on design and development of visualization and reporting tools within SQL-Server and Mendix (a BPM development environment).
• The individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and supporting visualizations based on SQL and T-SQL scripts in an OLTP environment.
• In addition this person must have a broad understanding of various coding methodologies, best practices, patterns, and tools to achieve the desired outcomes.
• The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities and must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment.
  

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Work within the AGILE team structure as an active, hands-on developer.
  
• Responsible for architecting, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Mendix (Java) and SQL-Server based components and interfaces.
  
• Responsible for implementing development and architecture standards.
  
• Demonstrate communication, interpersonal, and organization abilities and work in a varied, fast paced environment.
  
• Understand existing solutions and troubleshoot critical issues.
  
• Supports the implementation of systems into production.
  
• Utilizes accepted methodologies and tools in a disciplined manner.
  
• Works independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  

Tactical Responsibilities:

• Provide application maintenance & support, work on enhancements and new projects.
  
• Responsible for code asset management for applications, support & promoting asset reuse.
  
• Work with developers on design and development of SQL-Server scripts and components.
  
• Work with development and support teams
  

Skills / Qualifications:

• Expertise in SQL-Server and T-SQL, and Java.
  
• Experience in developing applications using a reporting platform such as SQL Server Reporting Services.
  
• Experience in using SOAP/REST APIs.
  
• Experience in Mendix application development is a plus.
  
• Solid Knowledge of JavaScript and/or Typescript is a plus.
  
• Working experience in Mortgage industry is highly desirable.
  
• Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support and performance tuning.
  
• Experience in agile development.
  
• Ability to develop web/database applications that handle high volume transactions.
  
• Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
  
• Ability to communicate clearly with business users, on-site Solutions Architect and Director of Software Development.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Over 4 years of experience working IT industry developing solutions in SQL-Server and J2EE technologies.
