The Opportunity:
- Is looking for a talented Financial Analyst to drive the companya??s growth.
- The position will work directly within our Development Division, overseeing the companya??s real estate investment and asset management activities and reporting directly to the senior leadership of the Division.
- The primary focus of the position includes investment underwriting, due diligence support, preparing investment memorandums and investor reporting.

Duties and Functions:
- Screen and underwrite hotel investment opportunities of potential new-build, acquisition, or adaptive-reuse of historic buildings.
- Gather and review market data to create detailed hotel pro-forma operational and financial projections for the purpose assessing business and investment opportunities.
- Will often require investment structuring and return analysis across multiple metrics and scenarios.
- Understand and have the ability to model complex investment structures and waterfalls.
- Review offering memorandums, financial statements and other due diligence materials.
- Assist with all aspects of due diligence and closing transactions.
- Underwrite and assist the development team with new construction projects.
- Prepare Quarterly Investor Reports.
- Support senior team members.
- Engage third party consultants for due diligence reports required prior to the closing of financing.
- Prepare high-quality presentation materials describing hotel investment opportunities for both internal and external audiences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Understanding of real estate finance concepts including DCF, IRR, Cash-on-Cash, Leveraged and Preferred Returns, Amortization, Debt Yield, etc.
- Exemplary communications (verbal and written), organization and presentation skills.
- Critical analysis and problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Must be willing to learn and grow in the position and with the company, and desire to work as part of a team.
- Exceptional project management skills. Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments.
- High degree of initiative and ability to work effective in teams or independently.
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Excel.
