Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute customer-specific supply chain strategies and operating plans to enhance customer supply chain engagement capacity and capability to deliver industry-leading collaborative solutions.
- Drive optimal customer service while minimizing logistics costs through direct and indirect management of programs and implementation of new initiative including ownership of AOP for channel logistics costs.
- Develop robust collaborative planning process internally and externally to deliver on key customer supply chain initiatives and sales plans.
- Set strategic customer direction, build organizational capability and enhance employee engagement for your direct and matrixed reports in Customer Logistics and Customer Service.
- Direct Customer Logistics responsibility for 3-5 key strategic customers that require a more centralized leadership in developing innovative and sustainable supply chain solutions.
Job Complexity:
- This position manages a complex customer base requiring a broad business perspective and acumen and collaboration with multiple Sales teams. The incumbent is required to understand the financial impact to both and its customers so that expectations can be met and customer value is created. The key challenge - deliver sustainable, measurable value to our customers, while maintaining overall flat to declining TDC.
- Understand and translate the impact of supply chain trends on the development and execution of sales plans and customer engagement in the areas of integrated planning, logistics and fulfillment.
- The position requires the ability to assess process effectiveness and implement change that results in higher service levels and lower costs and working capital for.
- Manage internal client relationships and resolve conflicts to ensure organizational goals are met. In many cases, this requires balances and trade-offs across functional areas that result in \"end-to-end\" benefits for and its customers/consumers.
- Managing customer expectations that match resource capabilities and funding. The Director must make strategic resourcing decisions through customer segmentation analysis and potential business impact. The incumbent must be able to build business cases that support the strategic direction of the team and maximize the impact to the total value chain in an environment of constrained resources.
- Managing direct and matrixed team members to accomplish shared goals around strategic objectives, service and TDC.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor??s Degree in Supply Chain Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related degree; Master??s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in a Supply Chain logistics role / industry.
- Experience in customer facing Sales and Supply Chain roles preferred.
- Broad understanding of CPG industry (principles, practices, processes, and customer requirements).
- Strong Executive presence with ability to influence all levels of the organization (including top levels of Leadership), with diverse perspectives; ability to bring teams to consensus / alignment.
- Experience in leading end to end process design and improvement projects with cross functional teams.
- Strong knowledge in proficiency of business problem solving methodologies (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, business process management and engineering, continuous improvement, value stream mapping).
