Job Description:
Role:UI Programmer
Location:San Diego, CA
YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
- Implement In-game User Interface systems and functionality in Flash and other various languages.
- Developing, writing, and debugging code for complex systems as part of a next-generation MMOFPS
- Work alongside other programmers, artists, and designers to develop a cohesive and manageable UI
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- Fluent in ActionScript 3 and using the Flash IDE
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming practices
- Experience in designing, implementing, debugging and optimizing game UI
- Must have the ability to accept direction and provide feedback as necessary to keep work flow efficient
- Have a understanding of common Design Patterns
- Ability to self-manage in a deadline driven environment
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to present and explain technical and business information
- At least 2 years of AS3 coding experience in a multiple-developer environment
- At least 2 years developing game User Interfaces or mini-games
PREFERRED:
- A PASSION for games
- Web application and mini-game experience
- Mathematical skills (basic math, algebra, geometry)
- Experience using Lua or other scripting technologies
