Job description
General Summary
- Responsible for performing system administration on Linux systems in support of MSIC (Missile and Space Intelligence Center).
- Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Responsible for performing analysis on system problems
- Responsible for working with system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc.
- Responsible for defining system objectives and for preparing system design specifications to meet user requirements
- Responsible for analyzing various ways to derive input data in order to select the most appropriate process
- Responsible for implementing system design specifications *
- May define input and output file specifications including file organization *
- May be responsible for defining controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans
- May occasionally provide work leadership to lower level employees

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in a related field, or the equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years work related experience
- Experience with Linux OS; some experience in Windows
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
- TS/SCI clearance required
