- The primary role of the Payroll Administrator is to act as the Coordinator for Payroll functions within the company.
- This position reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor and indirectly to the Assistant Controller and Controller.
- Primarily responsible for the processing and maintenance of the office and field payroll for the Company
- Import Employee information from ABRA, the Company HR Database, into Sage Timberline
- Complete Employee Set-ups and Changes in Sage Timberline
- Review all Time for the Field and the Bi-weekly employees in Viewpoint, the Company Time sheet Database
- Complete Employee set-ups in Viewpoint and assign to Management groups
- Upload the Viewpoint Time File to Timberline
- Make necessary changes to employee pay
- Review Sage Timberline edit reports for accuracy. Provide payroll reports to the Accounting Supervisor for approval
- Print and distribute/mail all Payroll Checks and Direct Deposit Forms
- Print Sage Timberline Certified Payroll Reports for the Admin Dept
- Upload Certified Reports to E-Mar
- Make timely payroll tax deposits to the appropriate tax jurisdictions- federal and state
- Pay Weekly Garnishments and record in Sage Timberline Accounts Payable
- Record all Tax Payments in Sage Timberline
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns- federal, state & unemployment returns
- Maintain the Certified Pay Rates and Job Local Tables in Sage Timberline
- Responsible for the scanning and filing of all Time Sheets, Check Stubs and other Sage Timberline Payroll reports in appropriate folders
- This position requires an Associates degree in Accounting and a minimum of three (3) years of in-house payroll experience to include processing certified payroll and job cost processing.
- In lieu of Associates degree, a high school diploma or GED will be considered with a minimum of five (5) years of experience of the aforementioned.
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the accounting disciplines of accounts payable, payroll and job cost
