Job Overview
Primary Purpose and Essential Functions:
- Perform data collection and analytical activities to support and monitor company compensation programs and initiatives.
- Provide ad-hoc reports, analysis and compensation metrics as well as participate in, conduct, and review salary surveys.
- Provide HRIS support and assist in the implementation of technological systems. May be responsible for supervision of Compensation/Personnel Services teams.
- Conduct compensation analyses which support the design, implementation and administration of company compensation programs; offer possible resolution/recommendations for administration challenges.
- Monitor and maintain compensation plan budgets and prepare reports to be used for modeling and determining cost of potential changes to the compensation plans (merit, salary ranges, bonus, stock, etc).
- Coordinate and support the company compensation planning tool to ensure maximum utilization and performance.
- Write, revise and maintain job descriptions database and provide consultation to managers in designing, creating and revising job descriptions.
- Perform internal and external pay analysis to determine appropriate salary grades, FLSA and EEO classifications for all job descriptions to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Responsible for the coordination of strategic HR/Compensation projects and new HRIS technology implementations as assigned by leadership.
- Responsible for establishing processes to ensure HR/Compensation project deliverables are completed in accordance with the established timelines; this includes developing vendor relationships, analysis, required approvals, implementation plans, and communication plans.
- May require supervision of Compensation/HRIS and Personnel Services team members; responsible for approving time off requests, providing assistance in professional development opportunities, coaching and training opportunities as well as addressing performance related concerns and conducting disciplinary action and setting corrective measure plans as necessary.
- Provide daily work direction to ensure coordination and completion of day-to-day activities. Assist in hiring and termination procedures and provide recommendations for overall department improvement and growth opportunities.
- Lead processing of driver and non-driver data; ensure timely and accurate processing to maintain system data integrity.
- Participate in targeted surveys to assess competitiveness of company compensation packages to other industry related companies. Perform market analysis to determine external competitiveness.
- Investigate employee complaints and prepare responses to charges filed with government agencies as assigned by leadership.
- Generate ad hoc reports from the HRIS database for internal use and leadership review. Assist in process improvements to ensure data integrity in HRIS system
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership; providing additional support in the absence of the Compensation/HRIS/Personnel Services Director.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills;
- In finium HR system and HRIS experience as well as related report writing tools; project management experience as well as strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations relative to compensation programs.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in HR or business related field. Designation as Certified Compensation Professional preferred.
Experience Required:
- Five (5) years or more in Human Resources/Compensation, previous management experience preferred
