Job Description:
Responsibilities
Manage Production Planning and Inventory Control for actives, excipients, packaging and labeling supplies.
Responsibilities include Managing
- The materials requirement planning (MRP) system;
- The issuance of purchase orders and internal requisitions of all actives, components, excipients, packaging and labeling supplies to support marketing and sales;
- The control of levels of inventories to insure customer service within financial limits.
- Manage the scheduling of production, the schedule of product deliveries, the transportation of raw materials and components to the appropriate manufacturers of finished goods.
- Manage the information, documentation and material flow to support in-line active production and testing.
- Track the status of all levels of production from raw materials through component deliveries.
- Act to ensure the smooth flow and shipment of goods and inventories to support marketing and sales
Support Demand Planning
- Build collaborative relationships with Plant personnel, Global Planning, and Distribution to support production requirements.
- Communicates with Managers of Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, Product Development, and Finance to ensure information is shared that could impact the schedule.
- This includes extensive contact and communications with outside subcontractors and the distribution center to keep up to date with delivery dates of products, components, and ingredients required for production.
- Manage the implementation of Oracle supply planning into the US factory. Identify issues and develop solutions and present recommendations to management.
- Maintain the Oracle Planning SOP??s for creation of batches, assignment of lot numbers, consumption of material, and shipment of Finished Product to ICS.
- This relates to product manufactured at FPG and TPM??s.
- Manage the control of non-inventory items used to support manufacturing and packaging.
- Maintain and report the weekly and monthly metrics for FPG regarding on time performance for Manufacturing and Packaging release adherence, and shipment of Finished Product to ICS.
Requirements
- College degree required, APIC Certification is desirable
- 5+ years of Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Materials Management.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience in ERP (SAP or Oracle) is required.
