Role: IT Manager, Oracle HCM Cloud

Location: Albany, NY

The Information Technology HR Manager will manage and coordinate the activities related to the HR system and related systems and provide project management for strategic initiatives.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Manage AMRI staff and onshore/offshore development contract resources in support of HR initiatives
  • Establish KPIs for the HR development and Business analyst teams and utilize KPIs to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Take a lead role in the planning and execution of the HR system roadmap including Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Time, Core HR
  • Plan and manage all HR and associated projects; syndicate project plans and status with IT staff and business units
  • Ensure that projects are implemented in an agile manner, and adhere to budget and schedule
  • Ensure that project risks are identified, tracked and mitigated through all project phases
  • This individual will be accountable for providing leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to all levels of management
  • This individual is responsible for operational delivery and contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • This individual will work closely with business owners, system developers and vendors to achieve results in support of business strategies and road map
  • Manages a team or team(s) of Business Analysts and is directly responsible for results produced by the team(s) managed
  • Contribute as a functional resource; guides reporting staff in completing their tasks, coordinates work flow and provides skill training based on personal proficiency in the technical processes, techniques, and tools they use
  • Coach and direct IT personnel to achieve departmental and personal goals; perform performance appraisals
  • Lead and document project phase reviews, identifying best practices as well as project failures
  • Work with IT staff and business units to develop business cases for major purchases
  • Develop, track, and control operating and capital budgets for the HR system and related systems
  • Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices
  • Follows AMRI Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • Eight or more years of HR applications experience
  • Three or more years of management experience
  • Experience with Oracle HR Cloud preferred
  • Experience in all aspects of HR preferred (Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Time, Core HR)
  • Experience with Kronos a plus
  • Experience with Teleo a plus
  • Experience with MS Project required
  • Formal project management training (PMP) or experience with Six Sigma, CMM, and/or agile methodologies or project manager on multiple projects a plus
  • Strong communications and collaboration skills required
  • Global HR experience a plus
