Location:Indianapolis, IN

Position Summary:

  • The Data Analyst (DA) writes database queries and compiles them into scripts to support all of the IT applications that require access to data.
  • The DA will be responsible for writing queries and creating ETL jobs, using Pentaho Data Integration software, that blend data from various data sources into IT??s data warehouse which is used by all of to generate reports and conduct data analysis.
  • The DA will also create data models and publish them to the Pentaho Business Analytics server.
  • Other responsibilities include the creation of reports according to prioritized business processes as well as conducting interviews with key stakeholders annually and during the planning phases of Business Intelligence projects.

Requirements:

  • A qualified candidate requires a Bachelor??s degree in Information Technology (or a related field) or a minimum of 1 year of applicable experience using the Pentaho platform.
  • Must have a working knowledge of MySQL databases and demonstrate the ability to create intermediate to advanced level SQL queries.
  • Must have an understanding of fundamental relational and data warehouse database design principles and demonstrate the ability to apply those principles to support project requirements.
  • Any exposure to Pentaho Data Integration, creating jobs and transformations and creating models using Pen taho Business Analytics is a plus. Any exposure to MS SQL is a plus.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Must be capable of working on project teams and meeting project deadlines.
