Managers Comments::: The position requires:: 1) Technical competence in structures 2) Experience in aerospace 3) Drive Essential Duties And Responsibilities 25 % Perform and validate structural analysis using hand calculations and FEA (NASTRAN). 15% Develop new designs in support of aircraft modifications and alteration activities. 15% Develop release and maintain engineering models and drawings using SolidWorks. 15% Support Maintenance activities by amending data to address changes created by improved maintenance practices, part numbers changes, or service experience. 10% Coordinate design issues with internal and external customers and suppliers. 10 % Research material and part specifications, regulatory documentation and documentations. 5 % Act as Engineering focal and project leader on multiple projects. 5 % Provide technical leadership for assigned projects for process / products attaining quality excellence with cost superiority. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: BS degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience 2 - 5 years Aviation Industry experience is preferred with a BS, or Master\'s degree with 1 - 3 years experience Minimum 2 years of aircraft structural analysis experience Knowledge of Mechanical Systems, Propulsion Systems, and/or Rotorcraft Flying Qualities is desired Basic understanding of FAA Certification process is desired, specifically 14 CFR Part 21, 29, and 43 2 years of experience using SolidWorks design software and familiarity with PDM software system is preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, technical and non-technical, internal and external Proficient with Microsoft applications Understanding and experience working within an AS9100 accredited Quality System Excellent technical and analytical skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
