Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the leadership role and enforcing the ongoing development, implementation and management of all aspects of the food quality program. Include, but not limited to, maintaining SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) and product specification for all product lines.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in the implementation of process evaluation and trend analysis of in regards to food quality and food safety.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager for regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits.
- Assist in monthly audits of the facility and its documentation.
- Assist as a member of HACCP team, responsible for review of HACCP program (data entry, document reviewing, filing, CCP monitoring records, procedure development, calibrations, etc.)
- Assist in the maintenance of production and processing records for compliance with federal, state, HACCP regulations.
- Assist and present employee training activities designed to keep employees knowledgeable and informed of SOPs, methods, and Good Manufacturing Procedures according to program needs.
- Ensures that standards for personal hygiene are met and implements corrective actions where needed.
- Perform daily routine checks and tasks as assigned in the production facility.
- Perform inspections as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Ensure compliance to the environmental and product testing program including ongoing laboratory testing of environment, raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform projects as required by the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Ability to work with production departments and to perform light physical work when necessary
