Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Reports all current and future financial data at the following levels:
- Organization (overall financials, profit & loss, balance sheet, etc.)
- Processes (analyze value chain and values added)
- Products (profitability be products)
- Customers (profitability by customer)
- Utilizes financial data to provide clarity to managers
- Prepares and presents all budget and financial reports for the President, CEO, and Board of Directors
- Build and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and reliability of financial statements
- Participate in the development of the corporation's strategic plan by translating the 3-year plan into annual budgets
- Propose corrective action plans to leadership team
- Provide continual improvement of the budgeting process through educating department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets
- Monitors, controls and reports cash flow for all branches and subsidiaries
- Obtains and maintains all insurance policies and coverage's (i.e. building, auto, and workers compensation insurance)
- Responsible for day to day management of the AR/AP Specialist and Accounting staff, as well as performance evaluations and planning
- Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing ERP system and other financial tracking databases
- Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns
- Consults with external CPA and financial advisors as needed for all MPI branches and subsidiaries
- Special projects as assigned by CEO
Qualifications
- Strong finance-based analytical skills
- 5 - 10 years of finance experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting, business, or related field OR 10-15 years of equivelant experience
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required
