  • Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will manage and develop all aspects of the eCommerce business, including Amazon and other eRetailer partnerships and our direct-to-consumer (D2C) business.
  • This position is based out of the headquarter offices in Tewksbury, MA and will require approximately.
  • As an integral member of the sales and marketing team, you will play a key leadership role in building a successful sales and support team by working at a strategic level to deliver targeted objectives and financial results in a manner that exemplifies our mission and philosophy.

Position Description (Responsibilities):

  • Has eCommerce account/channel P&L responsibility for revenue and spend
  • Sets and communicates organizational and team expectations and goals
  • Defines and manages financial and sales targets per business plan; holds eCommerce team accountable for achievement of goals across eRetail and D2C.
  • Develops effective annual business plans with clear realistic and stretch goals, milestones and desired results, evaluating quarterly for optimization as needed
  • In conjunction with other Sales and Marketing Directors, coordinates and executes promotional, customer marketing and digital media plans to both drive revenue and build our brand equities in line with brand strategies.
  • Champion business needs for your accounts and train, coach and develop the extended team to understand changing marketplace so all objectives are met.
  • Pursues and owns critical relationships with key accounts; develops and maintains high visibility with account key decision-makers and decision-influencers to advance brand opportunities, negotiates annual JBP plans, terms and agreements, drives new business opportunities and solves challenges quickly by developing a deep understanding of their business goals and challenges and solutions available.

  • Partners with key customers to identify program, product, distribution and merchandising solutions that increase revenue for the custome.
  • Promotes a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectations.
  • Manage and build teams that promote excellence, collaboration and teamwork by providing ongoing feedback and coaching on progress against accountabilities, development plans and training.
  • Builds effective working relationships with the members of the sales management, marketing, other internal teams and with sales team.
  • Leverage internal and external data supplied by eCommerce retailers and service providers to monitor and forecast business performance and activation.
  • Work with customer marketing team to execute all programming, manage eCommerce marketing budgets and measure all programs via ROI post-analyses.
  • Ensure go-to-market plans for new products are implemented with excellence.

Position Requirements:

This position is ideally suited for a high-energy leader with sales and marketing experience selling a premium product in a CPG category. In addition, you will need:

  • 5+ years of a successful track record in sales, marketing, trade marketing and/or customer marketing. Must have consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience. Food or pet specialty experience an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with eCommerce retailers, including Amazon, with track record of strong partnerships and sales growth.
  • Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business setup and management experience an asset
  • Digital marketing strategy plan development, eCommerce analytics experience and knowledge of SEO, SEM, digital media etc. preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in business management and/or marketing or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record managing a business in excess of $50MM while building strong, diverse cross-functional teams and internal stakeholder networks.
  • Must be enthusiastic with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of urgency; decisive leader capable of thriving in a dynamic, action-oriented environment.
  • Strategic mindset, business acumen with well-developed negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial capabilities needed to manage risk, understanding both cost and revenue implications; experience in setting and managing the annual budget throughout year.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Cross functional leader translating the strategic vision of the company to all customers internally and externally
  • Exceptional negotiating, planning and organizational skills and a high commitment to timely follow up and issue resolution.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience in developing marketing and sales metrics and evaluating ROIs.
