Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll JD Edwards Business Analyst. This role provides support for all payroll and expense management software applications and interfaces including configuration, trouble shooting, documentation, testing, and training. Assist with defining strategic vision and system advancement opportunities. Collect, recommend, and prioritize system change requests and process improvements. Develop and execute plans for system and process changes. Assist with system advancement, system utilization and end-user satisfaction.
Essential Functions
Ensure payroll and expense management systems are configured properly and are maintained with current software updates.
Closely monitor time entry and expense management self-service work flow resolving any issues within eight (8) business hours of discovery.
Maintain CONUS and OCONUS rates within JD Edwards on a monthly basis.
Provide support, consultation, and research to end-users.
Respond to all internal and external requests for information within 4 business hours of receipt. If request cannot be completed within 4 business hours, work with customer to determine a mutually acceptable date for report completion.
Assist with daily transaction processing for employee management, expense management, union reporting, tax reporting, etc. on an as needed basis.
Write all documentation for payroll business analyst processes maintaining necessary updates.
Coordinate with IT to resolve system issues and bugs.
Identify training needs. Design, develop, manage and facilitate training curriculum.
Develop test plans and scripts. Coordinate and perform testing ensuring proper documentation.
Assist with all activities associated with new business system requirements including requirement definition, vision and scope documentation, design document development, development coordination, and status communication through project completion.
Manage system changes through effective application of system change control processes. (collect, track, review, prioritize)
Ensure consistency, accuracy and quality of all assigned end user documentation.
Evaluate, ensure and report system advancement, utilization, and end-user satisfaction.
Communicate system and process changes to end-users.
Provide initial specifications and delivery documentation for software design and code modules.
Actively participate in group status meetings and/or conference calls and respond to identified issues.
Attend various task team meetings to better understand end-user needs.
Participate in vendor conferences, webcasts and user group communities.
Ensure integrity of payroll and expense management data between systems and modules.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university.
Strong knowledge of human resources, payroll, and expense management work processes and modules of JD Edwards.
Three (3) to five (5) years of JD Edwards Business Analyst experience.
Experience with report writers.
Strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with a diverse employee population across the organization.
Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects with various deadlines.
Able to develop and facilitate end-user training and testing.
Ability to travel intermittently, up to 25% of schedule.
Organizational skills to work with the vast array of information.
