Role:Salesforce Administrator Location:Melville, NY
The Salesforce platform is used in multiple areas of company operations. It is interfaced to several internal and external systems and is a critical part of our IT infrastructure. The Salesforce Developer, as part of the IT team, interacts with various departments to develop, maintain, and support the companys Salesforce platform. This includes developing enhancements and moving data between systems. The ideal candidate has experience in working in a DevOps type environment and has the strong communications skills required to succeed as part of a dynamic cross functional team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, troubleshoot and write Web Services to move data in both directions between Salesforce and SQL Server databases.
Salesforce development and maintenance using Apex and related development platforms.
Implement Web Services using JSON, SOAP, REST, and XML.
3+ years of Salesforce development and administration/implementation skills required.
Experience coding with Apex (includes triggers, classes, schedulers, batch, web services, etc)
Experience with Visualforce (Page, Component & Controller)
Experience integrating back end systems with Salesforce using web services and other integration tools
Proficient in SFDC Administrative tasks such as creating profiles, roles, users, page layouts, email services, approvals, permission sets, workflows, reports, dashboards, tasks and events;
Experience designing custom formula fields, field dependencies, validation rules, workflows, and lead assignments
Strong research and creative problem-solving skills
Strong debugging skills
Qualifications
3+ years experience Salesforce development and implementation.
Required Skills and Abilities
Salesforce Development experience using Apex and Visualforce, SOQL
Web Services concepts using
Rest
Soap
XML
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery (preferred not required)
