Job description Lead QA Analyst Description The Lead QA Analyst is primarily responsible for leading QA activities for validating software quality. He/She is responsible for defining the testing strategy and for coordinating and ensuring consistent and appropriate testing by project team members, for coordinating testing with UAT testing teams and for ensuring full and appropriate use of test automation frameworks. Defines and Works within the testing strategy defined for the project, adhering to best practice and looking to automate where appropriate. This role requires strong communication and team leadership skills. Leading the QA team and coordinating testing activities Defining project testing strategy Developing test scenarios / cases Report test status Will provide hands on support to perform testing activities and validating software quality Develops and administers QA Schedules and monitors performance against the schedules Developing Technical and QA best practices and ensuring adherence to them Ensuring appropriate use of automation and regression tests Validating software quality Coordinating testing activities during UAT Defining defect tracking processes & tools Coaching, mentoring and motivate other team members in QA best practice Ensuring excellent communication and collaboration between all internal and external teams Identify risks, suggest and negotiate appropriate mitigation to the risks Manage stakeholder expectations Supervise QA Team Members Required Skills Requirements Minimum of 5 years of QA testing experience with thorough knowledge of test methods Experience with: MS SSIS or similar tool (heavy data or interface testing is a must) Strong SQL scripting Agile and Hybrid SDLC UI, interface, and performance testing Strong collaboration skills Experience with ALM and/or TFS Ideal Candidates For This Role Will Have The Following Advanced Understanding of SDLC and agile concepts and their inter-relationships with QA practices Advanced test definition and optimized test execution skills Advanced knowledge of Quality assurance principles and best practices Experience developing test strategies, test plans and test cases Experience of functional, user interface and system integration testing Experience of performance and other non-functional testing Experience with test automation frameworks Experience with user interface testing tools e.g. Selenium, QTP Experience with acceptance testing frameworks Experience with cross browser testing including desktop and mobile Experience with full life cycle projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Excellent Analysis, problem solving, time management skills Strong risk identification and mitigation planning skills Strong team leadership skills Ability to encourage, motivate and influence team Degree in Computer Science or related subject 5+ years QA experience 2+ years experience as QA lead on web development projects 2+ years experience of using agile methods on projects, e.g. Scrum/XP ISTQB Foundation certified is a plus
