Job Title: PC Support Tech
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS ADVANCED ENGINEERING AND TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS FORTHE SUPPORT AND MAINTAINANCE OF ENDPOINT TECHNOLOGIES. SUPPORTED ENDPOINTTECHNOLOGIES INCLUDE WORKSTATIONS, PRINTERS AND CLIENT SOFTWARE. A DESIRIABLECANDIDATE WOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH DESKTOP IMAGINING USING IBM BIGFIX: OSDEPLOYMENT, ADVANCED KKNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT ACTIVE DIRECTORY AND EXPERIENCEWITH MCAFEE SECURITY PRODUCTS. KNOWLEDGE OF UTILITY PROGRAMS, SCRIPTING AND THEABILITY TO IDENTIFY AND RESOLVE PROBLEMS IS REQUIRED. ABILITY TO WORKINDEPENDENTLY AND TO WORK OUTSIDE OF THE NORMAL WORK HOURS AS NEEDED ISREQUIRED.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Configures andinstalls software for IT users' desktops and laptops. Involved in theinstallation and rollout of new software packages, upgrades and new desktophardware. Maintains desktop software and hardware; supports mobile workforce.Provides Tier 2 support to IT users for basic software and hardware of end-usercomputing and desktop-based LAN systems. Troubleshoots problems using scriptsand checklists as guides. Escalates to Tier 3 support when necessary. Documentsproblems and resolutions. May perform end-user training. Strong customerservice skills are important in this position. Participates in the testing andevaluation of new desktop packages and implements prototypes.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
THOROUGHKNOWLEDGE OF ENDPOINT TECHNOLOGIES. KNOWLEDGE OF UTILITY PROGRAMS, SCRIPTINGAND THE ABILITY TO IDENTIFY AND RESOLVE PROBLEMS.
MCAFEEENTERPRISE SECURITY (4-6 years)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE WITHDESKTOP IMAGINING USING IBM BIGFIX: OS DEPLOYMENT, ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OFMICROSOFT ACTIVE DIRECTORY.
REQUIREDEDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent workexperience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: NONE REQUIRED.
