SharePoint Center of Excellence

Vertex will have a COE for SharePoint that will provide pre-sales, sales support, solutioning, implementation and consulting services. The COE will consist of multiple resources, each with an area of expertise within the SharePoint platform and related technologies and functions.

All members of the COE will be designated as Solution Architects.

We plan to immediately staff the COE with the following positions.

1. Solution Architect – Platform
2. Solution Architect – Application

Solution Architect – Platform

Position location – Cincinnati/Cleveland

Position Description

You will be part of our SharePoint Center of Excellence. You will be responsible to work with our sales, marketing,, account management teams and with customers and perform a variety of job functions including sales support, solution definition, and solution implementation. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Sales:
  • Be integral part of customer presentations to position and project Vertex SharePoint practice
  • Support sales team with understanding customer requirements and creating solutions
• Delivery:
  • Define and implement SharePoint architectures and, migration strategies
  • Provide support to customers including trouble shooting issues, root-cause identification and issue resolution
• Strong understanding of the several SharePoint versions and offering
• Experience with the following aspects of SharePoint – Platform architecture, Application architecture, Customizations, Add-on tools
• Experience with SharePoint migration – from older on-prem versions to new version and to O365
• Microsoft Certifications
• Good written and oral communication and presenter
• Strong leadership skills
• Collaboration and team work

  • SharePoint Farm Architecture
  • SharePoint farm design for various situations of scalability, HA, DR etc.
  • Configuring various SP services
  • Integrating SP with AD, ADFS etc.
  • SQL Server design to support SP farm
  • Configuring SP for Intranet, Extranet and Internet applications
  • Configuring O365 in standalone, Hybrid environments
  • AD, ADFS architecture and integration expertise
  • Expertise in designing and implementing search architecture
• Administration & Maintenance
  • Expertise with analyzing SP logs
  • Expertise with troubleshooting SP farm performance
  • Expertise in backup and restore of SharePoint content
