The Business Development Manager is responsible for building market position of our products in the Quick service operators and other foodservice channels by maximizing sales with existing and prospective customers, locating, and developing, defining, negotiating and closing business relationships.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Increases market share across our Core Focus sectors and Ethnic Trade accounts, creating customer marketing activities, attending trade conferences, customer shows and culinary opportunities
• Develops and executes customer driven programs and trade promotions to maximize company and customer profit potential as well as serving as a liaison between marketing, sales, brokers and customers
• Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events and publications
• Locates potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
• Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials
• Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners\' needs and goals
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications;
• maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Identifies new segments for potential new opportunities
• Works with Marketing for lead generation on emerging chains
• Suggests product or packaging improvements
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
• A minimum of 3 years of foodservice sales experience
Skills and Knowledge
• Excellent ability to communicate both in oral and written form
