Role:QA Analyst (Manual Tester) Location:Louisville, CA
Description: The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for quality assurance across internal applications through the creation of test cases, testing, analyzing testing results, and assessing and reporting the level of quality of a potential software release. This is a "onsite" position located at client??s Louisville office.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, document and execute thorough test plans for computer desktop and web applications, based on software requirements and technical specifications
Perform manual testing
Coordinate testing effort within client??s software applications
Coordinate internal deployment of client deliverables
Document software defects (â??bugsâ?), anomalies and issues
Maintain database of software defects and ensure appropriate fixes
Generate historical analysis of test results
Create solid testing scenarios based on best practices in software development
Document QA testing processes for communication/process within the department
Review and respond to technical questions and potential defects from internal staff
Plan for stress testing, performance testing, and/or non-functional testing as requested
Plan and execute cross browser compatibility tests
Qualifications / Skills:
3+ years of relevant QA technical experience required. Preferred areas include Black box, Integration, Functional, System, Load and Acceptance testing.
Ability to create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases from specifications or verbal communications.
Expertise in database environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred but not required.
Excellent analytical skills.
High level of initiative with ability to self-manage.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience preferred but not required.
Experience with C# development preferred but not required.
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
