The Business Development Manager (BDM), B2B Solutions is a skilled B2B solution selling professional with experience in payment processing, prepaid debit cards, and/or loyalty marketing. The BDM is responsible for growing revenue by identifying and acquiring new clients and by developing and expanding client relationships. He or she will possess the ability to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, or other means and then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential new clients to do business with client. The BDM must develop a rapport with new clients and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. The BDM will stay abreast of business and market developments that can impact client??s business, product and sales strategy and supports the collection of competitive analysis for sales planning and forecasting.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions:
Develop a detailed sales plan, identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization, size target opportunities, and manage the selling cycle from prospecting through closing.
Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities by maintaining, growing and leveraging a network of business relationships to meet potential new clients.
Set up and organize meetings between potential new client decision makers with appropriate members of the client team to develop proposals that speak to client needs, concerns and objectives.
Participate in pricing solutions/services and prepare and present impactful and persuasive pitches.
Build strong client relationships and establish trust with all key client contacts. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to handle client objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to negotiate a positive conclusion.
Maintain accurate weekly progress reporting on all sales activates and the status of pipeline opportunities. Collect and analyze client specific data to assist in sales forecasting and planning including volume trends and profitability analysis.
Attend industry functions, such as association events and trade conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and competitive trends.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree from 4-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
3- 5 yearsâ?? experience in payment processing industry.
Working knowledge of contracts and contracting process
Qualifications and Required knowledge of:
Highly motivated sales professional with proven track record of delivering revenue growth.
Demonstrated track record in prepaid debit card, payment processing, loyalty marketing and/or B2B payment markets.
Excellent time management and organizations skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and prepare impactful and persuasive presentations.
