Job description Senior Client Manager â?? Employee Benefits Client is a full service international insurance and benefits broker that has reengineered the brokerage model to ensure delivery of the best solutions our industry can offer. The firm is seeking a highly organized, resourceful and efficient individual to join a growing employee benefits department in New York. A successful Client Manager will be able to execute deliverables with minimal guidance on day-to-day activities as he/she will be the senior benefits lead on the project. The Senior Client Manager will support a book of clients within the middle market (50 to 5,000 employees). To fulfill this role, the Senior Client Manager will: Manage middle market and large market book of business Conduct mid-year, annual, and other client meetings. Conduct client claim meetings (paid, incurred, loss ratios, utilization, shock claims) Review compliance and client disclosure requirements, summary plan documents (SPDs) and employee communications Draft client report/presentation inclusive of executive summary, coverage outline, alternative financials, and recommendations Negotiate improved pricing, terms and conditions for clients with underwriters Network analysis â?? Geo Access, VIP survey, Incurred Claims, etc... Employee Surveys â?? develop content, distribute, measure, and compile client report Communications â?? Develop and distribute (open enrollment, educational, wellness, etcâ?¦) Coordinate open enrollment meetings at renewal and actively participate/present, as needed C â?? Suite Presentation/Communication Capabilities Strong understanding of Self-Insured contracts â?? mature vs. immature, paid vs. incurred claims Underwriting/Renewal Analysis â?? review of underwriting worksheet, trend, completion factor, credibility factor, pooled claims adjustment, etcâ?¦ Due Diligence â?? Review, analyze, draft, and present report findings and recommendations Qualifications Minimum 12-15 years of prior employee benefits account manager/analyst experience 4 year college degree or industry specific designations such as CEBS/GBA preferred High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Work and PowerPoint experience is a definite plus Obtain and maintain appropriate license as required by state Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills; refined verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills Ability to exercise independent judgment and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Good attention to detail and ability to self-check work Possesses excellent problem solving and time management skills, is task oriented, organized and has the ability to prioritize work.
