Summary
The Product Design Engineer is responsible for developing creative, innovative, thorough, cost-effective and manufacturable product designs driven to WOW the customers. The Product Design Engineer ensures all project development is in-line with Company and customer goals and values. He or she is responsible for developing concepts to bring our customerâ??s visions to life, while ensuring all project and branding requirements are met. This individual communicates with and assists suppliers to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and then are manufactured meeting design specifications. The Product Design Engineer creates 3D CAD models and detailed drawing documentation for each project. He or she performs drawing reviews and is responsible for ECO/revision management. This individual performs part analysis and simulation, when required and manages their queue of assigned projects. He or she assists the Design & Engineering Manager with daily tasks related to customers, suppliers, internal operations, and the like. He or she is required to keep the Design & Engineering Manager abreast of all statuses and issues.
