JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has some business experience or a recent college grad looking to join a great company with the ability to learn, grow and develop within the Supply Chain Organization.
The Supply Chain Analyst must effectively analyze business requirements and develops a demand and supply plan that balances service, inventory and cost. The individual must show a high level of competence in decision making, risk management and cost analysis. The Analyst must work cross functionally to develop, monitor and communicate a demand/supply plan that supports 100% customer service at the lowest possible cost.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop a consensus forecast using software packages and through collaboration with key stakeholders with monthly revisions
Review new items requirements and manage buy decisions for finished goods and backup materials at all buy stages
Utilize the consensus forecast to adjust the supply plan, create a purchasing plan to achieve service rates, inventory levels and desired price variances.
Identify and resolves supply/demand issues that impact the optimal inventory investment balancing excess and out of stocks situations
Execute ordering requirements aligned to MRP signals and recommendations
Support the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process by ensuring the efficient planning of product promotions, new product introductions and deletions.
Works closely with Marketing on new product introduction, customer mix reset management and product packaging challenges.
Partner with Suppliers to develop and negotiate the best production and delivery schedules to support customer demand.
Communicate service outlook, inclusive of potential/imminent disruption and develop strategies for all service shortfalls
