Job description
client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our corporate office in Long Beach. Individual will be responsible weekly timesheet review, timesheet entry and certified payroll reporting. The following is an overview of the positionĂ¢??s roles and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Ensures all required timesheets and supporting reports are received in a timely manner
Review timesheets for accuracy, correct discrepancies where necessary
Keys weekly timesheets into Deltek Vision
Prints and files payroll reports as requested
Maintain the payroll system database to reflect union rate increases, shift differentials and employee data
Process weekly certified payroll, and provide reports (electronic and hard copy) as required by project
Respond to employee issues related to payroll matters
Processes adjustments & corrections, tax maintenance, benefits, and union updates
Respond to annual audits as scheduled
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years payroll experience
Solid knowledge of union/pay practice and union contract language
Demonstrated ability to produce high volume data entry with accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with employees directly to resolve pay issues
Excellent mathematical skills
Ability to work independently to research, analyze, and complete weekly deliverables by weekly deadline.
Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft suite of products, Deltek Vision and Paychex.
